Current status
There are currently no funded MSc or PhD positions available.

Research fit
Strong projects begin with a clear ecological question and a genuine connection to the lab’s ongoing work—not simply a general interest in wildlife.
Quantitative ecology
Students develop reproducible workflows and use demographic, spatial, acoustic, or other analytical approaches appropriate to their questions.
Conservation relevance
Projects should connect ecological understanding with the management or conservation of wildlife and their habitats.

A concise, specific inquiry makes it much easier to understand your preparation and whether your interests align with the lab.

Identify the project or research theme that most closely matches the questions you want to pursue.
Explain the connection
Briefly describe the ecological questions that interest you and why the Wolfe Lab is a good setting for them.
Describe your preparation
Include relevant field, analytical, writing, coding, or collaborative experience. Attach a current CV.
Be clear about timing
State the degree sought, intended start term, and whether you have or are pursuing independent funding.
Graduate funding
Graduate positions are generally tied to grants, fellowships, or teaching support and cannot be offered without a confirmed funding source. An expression of interest is not an offer of admission or financial support.
I have worked with students to successfully secure several NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program and GEM fellowships. If you have a strong academic and research record and think you may be competitive for these or other external fellowships, please get in touch early so we can discuss potential research fit and application timing.
Any available lab-funded position will include a defined project, start date, and application process on this page.
